I worked for the Port of Oakland in Safety and Environmental Compliance. Julius was one of my favorite people. He could figure out how to do things I needed to get done. Odd things like having to attach badges to storm drains saying "Drains to Bay" so that people wouldn't dump stuff down there. It sounds simple, but getting those things to stick in the hostile environment of the harbor was a challenge that he figured out. Julius also once saved my reputation. I played in a jazz band that performed only at fundraisers. We were all set to play at a Port-sponsored event for Oakland schools when I couldn't make it. Julius jumped in at very short notice and was a big hit. Nobody looked better than Julius in a tux.

Julius was a very nice and friendly person. He was one of my friends during his/my employment at the Port of Oakland. He was the D.J. at my retirement. He will be missed.

He was loved and will be missed, by many. We shared love for Chaka one of my favorite artist.
His DJ style gave me life at the white parties.
When I think of Julius it brings a smile to my face.
Keeping his family, friends and loved ones in thought and prayer
May he rest in peace,
Peace and Blessings,
Iris

Julius was my dear friend for over 42 years. He brought joy and happiness to all of us. He was a sympathetic and kind loving friend at all times, especially when he felt that it was needed. When my mom passed it was Julius who held my hand, dried my tears and prayed for me. Julius would always know exactly what to say when you needed an encouraging word. His beautiful smile would always lift your spirit when he entered a room. That smile was Overwhelmingly contagious. I thank God everyday for giving us such an Angel to walk with along this life’s journey. Julius you will tremendously be missed, and you will never be forgotten. Love You Forever My Friend,
Pamela Martin-Bobo
