Charlotte, we are deeply sadden at Papa Don's passing. He was one that we expected to live forever. We have so many memories of sharing time with both of you. Will miss his laugh, his support, his love. You and Don were the additional family members of choice. Don has enriched us all, and will always be in our hearts.

Don was such a wonderful friend to me and my mother, Lydia. He was my teacher many years ago and then became my good friend. After my father died, he stepped in and stuck with me through good and bad times. I was fortunate to be able to stay in touch with him over the past 50+ years and see him during his times on the Cape. I so pleased to have pieces of his artwork hanging in my home. I will miss him and always remember him as a man who loved people and life.

I was a substitute teacher when I first moved to Sharon. Don and I became friends when I subbed for him a few times. He found out who I was and we always chatted about his "room" on the stage before the Cottage St. School remodel. I remember him fondly and always will! Rest in Peace, Don.

My deepest condolences and sympathy to Charlotte and the Kreutzer family. Don’s dry sense of humor, his amazing artwork, and his and Charlotte’s mutual devotion to and love for each other are lasting and cherished memories.

I remember Don as our very fashionable art teacher at Cottage St. He had a style of his own. One day he was teaching water color painting to my class and in just a few minutes did a flower water color painting for me . It took him no time and as he said no big thing... Well,I took the picture home, framed it and it still hangs on the wall in our home. Thanks Don, you were one of a kind. May you rest in peace.
