Jessie (Millar) Boudrot, 95, died at home peacefully on June 4, 2018 after a period of failing health. She was born January 3, 1923 in Johnstone, Scotland, to the late Alexander and Mary (Stoddart) Millar. Her parents emigrated from Scotland to the United States when Jessie was 7 months old.
She was raised and educated in Quincy schools and graduated from Quincy High School in 1940. After graduating, she was selected to be a trainee at the Fore River Shipyard as a Draftman’s Tracer in the Engineering Department during World War II. After training, she remained at Fore River until 1948. She then worked for several architectural and engineering firms for the rest of her career, and retired in 1988.
She was married to the late Robert J. Boudrot in 1963, and together they lived in Falmouth, MA and Marco Island, Florida, before returning back to Mashpee, MA in 2003. After Bob’s sudden death in 2004, she returned to Forestdale, MA on Peter’s Pond, where she had first owned property in 1951, to the same neighborhood.
She was predeceased by her sisters, May Michael, and Joyce Sutton.
She is survived by her brother James A. Millar and his wife Barbara of Rockland, MA, four nephews, Geoffrey Sutton, Mark Michael, David Michael and J. Ian Millar, and five nieces Lisa Carlier, Kristin Millar, Debra Holzmacher, Sheri Smith, and Mary Beth Lawrence.
Private funeral services by the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich. Interment will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
In lieu of flowers the family has designated the VNA Hospice of Cape Cod for memorial contributions.
