EDITH G TUGGLE, 85, of Sanibel, Florida, formerly of Gainesville, Georgia went to heaven early Thursday morning on July 17, 2014. Proud parents, the late Mike L. and Ruth H. Garrison along with their son Mercer, welcomed her into the world on November 19, 1928 in Haralson, Georgia. She married the love of her life, the late Charles E. Roberts, Sr. in 1947 and they lived in Atlanta, Ga. raising their four children until Charles’ passing in 1978. Always a homemaker and working mother, she worked for 35 years at Lockheed Martin Aircraft in Marietta Ga., where she met her second husband Jason A. Tuggle and they married in 1981. In 1985 the Tuggles’ retired to their homes on Lake Lanier in Gainesville, GA., and Sanibel Island, FL. Jason preceded her in death in 2002. She spent her final years living in Sanibel where she was known by most as “Mama.” She was the most considerate, giving person always putting others’ needs before her own. She is survived by Charles & Debra Roberts, Saundra & Jerry Frazer, Linda Petruny, Pamela Standard and stepson Gregory Tuggle. Grandchildren: T. Sgt. Charles & Jennifer Roberts, Catherine & Rusty Simpson, Ronda Slizewski, and Jerry Frazer, Jr., Bennie & Angela Paramore and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel. Rev. Alvin Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt.
