I worked with Erik for many years at Lehman Brothers. My memories of Erik are that he was kind, smart, creative, and most importantly a real gentleman. Not only did I work with Erik at Lehman, he and I both crossed paths again at Merrill Lynch. Erik always demonstrated a genuine desire to help people in any way he could. I was so sad to find out he is no longer with us. My deepest condolences and prayers to the family. Erik, may you rest in Peace.

We were involved in the early years of your life. We were at the hospital to take you home when you were born. It had snowed and Paul had lost his keys in the snow bank. We finally got home and we helped your folks get settled in as new parents
We shared many family activities with you and our children Kerri and Jeffrey .
You met the love of your life Komiko and your two girls gave you peace and strength throughout your short life.
Your parents and everyone who you touched will surely miss you.

We love you
Aunt Maris and Uncle Al
Ps You kept the Newmark tradition of the love of Juniors chocolate Fudge cake. The smile on your face while indulging was special!

Dear Kumiko & Family,
I knew Erik both in high school and college. He was two years ahead of me but we were on the same Whiz Quiz team when he was captain. He was a smart leader and a great sport.

Two years after he graduated from high school, he learned that I had been accepted to Northwestern – he came back high school in Fort Worth during his winter break to welcome me.
I am so heartbroken to hear this news. He is so friendly in all the pictures posted here. I hope that you know he was loved by the many people he touched.

Erik had a kind of energy that was a joy to be around. I worked with him at Lehman and found him to strive for fairness and balance in the duties he had to fulfill. He always brought a smile to my face when I engaged him and we often laughed about life! I know we are all going to miss this fabulous soul. May he live on in our hearts and inspire us to joyful work, commitment to family, and a good laugh!

Please accept our deepest condolences and we are so sorry for your loss.

We only lived in Atlanta 2 years but Erik and Kumiko had been our friends since. They've been always considerate and fun to hang out, wonderful happy couple who meant to be together like a soul mate.
Erik was a true gentle man who is smart and always been nice to everyone. Cannot forget his charming smile when he's with you, Kumiko.

I worked with Erik years ago at Lehman. He was one of the rare ones who was exceptionally authentic, compassionate, and cared deeply about his family. You could always count on Erik for a kind word and that uniquely Erik smile. Erik dignified himself & others. This world was a certainly a better place with Erik having been in it . I was lucky to have known him!

Cindy is my 2nd mom & both Erik & Brian are so special to me! I have so many memories of my childhood & many included times at their house in Enchanted Lakes. Erik was the oldest & we had good times in the car as he had to drive us to Sunday School in Ft Worth every Sunday morning when we were younger. It said above he was was a gentleman, how true! He was gentle, quiet & oh how smart! I’m blessed to have had him & so many memories of his family in my life. Praying for Cindy, Brian, Paul, Joan, Jason, Adam, Kumiko, the girls & entire family during this time! Love y’all!
