Born in Kingston, Jamaica on March 6, 1935 by proud parents Evelyn Harris and Renford Logan. After her migration to England for several years, Norma later migrated to the United States where she settled and made a home for her family in Bronx, New York.
She was survived by three sisters: Vena, Janet, and Sharon; five daughters: Audrey, Patricia, Juliet, Ingrid, and Bridgette; eight grandchildren: Jamaal, Antonio, Chanel, Jay, Jerel, Richard, Mark, and Adaina; two great grandchildren: Journee and Zara; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Norma worked as a nursing assistant for many years before joining New York Bus Company. She worked tirelessly until her retirement on April 30, 1997. She then relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where she enjoyed her retirement, entertaining family and friends.
Mama lived a full life. The self-proclaimed best dancer in her time, Norma always said she can wine-up one side of her body and the next side did not move. She was a tell-it-like-it-is person with a great sense of humor and an unmatched heart. There was never any pretense with her. Some of her favorite pass times were eating with family, cooking, reading, dancing, and ooh let’s not forget the tennis. Norma will be missed; forever loved and can never be forgotten.
