I met Sig many years ago at a Chevy dealership in Lake Worth, Florida.  Sig first sold me a used Mercury station wagon then later a Chevy Astro Van.  Both times I felt totally at ease and never did I feel like I was dealing with a car salesman.  Many years past and again I was looking for a car.  This time I was living in Powder Springs, Ga.  I went to the Honda dealership in Lithia Springs and there he was.  Sig was able to get me a Honda CR-V and then a year later trade it up for a newer one.  Amazingly Sig and his wife lived on Poplar Springs Rd and I lived less than a mile away off Autumn Run Drive.  I'd stop by and say hi and kibbitz a little then head home.  Sig always had time for me.  Rest in peace my friend

The funeral service for Sig was very enlightening.  I learned a lot from all the tributes, especially from Jeff, Adam, and the hospital chaplain.  Having been "estranged" from you for many years, I know now that all of you can support one another during the course of events following the passing of a loved one.  And I just want to add a couple of tidbits about Sig, that even Barbara may not recall hearing before.

I knew Sig before all of you.  We were in Hebrew class together in DC.  His mother was a fixture in the synagogue, too; can you imagine she had the need to protect him, because back then, he was not as strong as he grew up to be.

Later on, Sig was in the same high school fraternity pledge class as I.  We had to collect money for muscular dystrophy, via raffles,
and I recall that he collected more money than any other pledge.

That's it,  just a couple of footnotes to his long life.

Sig is remembered by his wife, Barbara; two sons and daughters-in-law Jeff (Laura) and Kevin (Kara); two daughters and sons-in-law Ilene (Mitch) and Carson (Lee); eight grandchildren Alex (Michelle), Jake, Ben, Jacqueline (Ted), Janine, Adam, Cameron and Gareth; two great granddaughters Lila and Giana, as well as loving extended
family and friends.
