Dear Aunt Shirley and Cousins,

When I was told that my dear cousin Bobi was now In GODS arms I soon saw the most beautiful rainbow 🌈. I knew for sure it was Bobi looking down on me to say “I love you forever and always” those were our last words to each other. I will now forever and always think of my cousin Bobi when ever I see a rainbow.
I’m so blessed to have grown up with Bobi, Aunt Shirley, Bal, Gina and Shirley.

Bobi raised such truly honorable sons. How proud she was of them. I pray their sorrow turns into the beauty of the colors of a rainbow.

I love you all so dearly,

Cheryl Rossi

Bobi was such an amazing and lovely woman. I feel so happy to have known her and to have spent time with her recently. She loved her family so much and fought fiercely to be able to raise her two sons, Joey and Billy. She had a radiance about her that made you feel so comfortable when in her presence. She was so very close to her family and is now an angel who will be with them every day. I am sending “special” love to Granny and her whole family, especially, Joey, Billy, Louise, Aunt Shirley, Aunt Gina, Shirley, Brittany, and Jamers... Bless you all, Love Cheryl

There was something special about Bobi that I may never completely understand. To my mother, she was a best friend, as close as family. Except that she said things that, around my mother, no one else could get away with. My mother hates swear words, for example. Using curse words is, and has always been, the fastest way to upset her, but not so with Bobi. For some mysterious reason, Bobi could make my mom laugh at anything. She brought out a side in her that was (and there’s no other way of saying it) wild!

And that was good for me to see. To me, Bobi was one of my first great teachers. Because I first came to know her when I was very young, little things she did had a profound effect on me. What for her was just her natural sense of humor was to me a lesson in joy. Bobi exuded joy. She taught me what it looks like and how important it is to have in my life. She taught this to me without explanation, without a sermon—but through her effortless way of being.

I’m going to miss her, and I hope I can carry with me the same joy she had. God knows I need it. We all do.

I have never known such a strong, vibrant and kind soul as Aunt Bobi. I feel blessed to have had the chance to meet her and spend a little time with her, even if it was only for a short time. She always made you feel like she had known you forever and her love so genuine and warm. She is a positive light in all the lives she has touched and will forever shine bright. I send all my love to Granny, Joey, Billy, Louise, Aunt Shirley, Aunt Gina, Shirley, Brittany, Jamers and to all the family. God Bless ~ Tina xo

My Dearest Bobi,

I will forever love you and thank you for our friendship of 42 years. In that time I have captured a multitude of cherished memories that I will always keep in a special place of my heart. I have the deepest love and respect for you and admire you in so many ways. Your friendship has been unwavering, you have been a lovingly committed mother, your strength of character and perseverance has been astounding and your capacity to love was truly amazing. I will always remember how you would light up a room and everyone in it when you would enter. Bobi, God has truly blessed me by allowing our paths to cross. You were, “An Angel on Earth”, that God sent to bless all that you touched with your beautiful life. So until we meet again, my dearest friend, I thank you for giving my life such an amazing gift... “The Gift of a Genuine Friendship”.

I will always love you Bob!

I grew up listening to Bobi singing on the radio. Songs like Borderline, Lucky Star and Holiday were her big hits at that time. It was always really exciting for me when my Mom and Bobi got together because that meant I was going to hear Bobi singing all my favorite songs LIVE when we rode around in the car.

You see...I seriously thought Madonna was Bobi or Bobi was Madonna? Either way when I heard those songs up until I was about 10-12 years old I thought I was listening to Bobi singing on the radio!

I love Bobi’s voice.

I cherish this memory and many others.

She brings so many smiles to our faces and so much laughter into our lives.

I am so grateful to have experienced the beautiful, strong and amazing person she was and forever will be.

I love you,

There are no words to describe the loss we all feel. I am so thankful that God chose you to be my aunt. I am going to miss you more than you will ever know. I am so grateful for all the memories we had created together and for the special place you will always have in my heart. I am so glade that Madeline and Jack were able to create their own memories with you. You were the most amazing aunt to me, my kids and all my cousins. You are the true definition of a fighter. I love you aunt Bobi with all my heart and soul.

Bobi, mother of our sons; words can’t begin to express the agape love and sacrifice you given to both Joseph & William. From the day you were diagnosed with the illness over 20 years ago, you made it your mission to fiercely fight the illness so you may spend every waking moment to be that extraordinary mother to our sons. In the recent days, I have come to reflect on some of our conversations where all you truly cared for and wanted was to see our sons grow up and become young men. Joseph & William are the men they are today because of your sheer devotion to their lives as you pressed forward with your daily fight in being there for them both. You truly succeeded with all your strength and perseverance in battling your illness head-on only to see the amazing young men Joseph and William have become. I am so grateful in the blessing of Joseph & William having you as their mother. We have fulfilled our private commitment to our sons; and I could pray our second commitment will be as extraordinary as you were as their mother. I will always love you in my special way for being Joseph & William's mother.

I was so blessed to meet Bobi over 40 years ago and she and her sisters changed my life forever. What they taught me continues to impact my own family today. The sisters and their mother were beyond close they are the most loving family I have ever met in my life... They teach by their actions and words just how family should take care of each other and how to comfort and love one another without judgement. I will always be grateful that I had the awesome opportunity to witness and be a part of this amazing family. Bobi will be missed beyond words... She was a master teacher and a protector of all of the girls... She was amazing... I love you Bobi and will forever be grateful... Until we meet again...
