Daniel Marichalar, 70, died August 3, 2021, at Kaiser Hospital. He was born May 2, 1951, in Bakersfield, the youngest son of Gonzalo and Inez Marichalar. Daniel graduated from Andrew Hill high school, Class of 1969. Following graduation, he was drafted to the US. Army to serve during the Vietnam war and was lucky to be discharged with full honors. Daniel met his wife Ruby in 1983 and they were married on July 6, 1985. They just celebrated 36 years of marriage this year. Daniel had a love for all sports and was an amazing athlete. If he wasn’t playing baseball, basketball, or softball; he was coaching. He was a coach for Andrew Hill high school for 30+ years. He was a loving father to his Son Junior and two daughters Lisa and Natalie. In addition to being reunited with his parents, he is predeceased by his son Daniel Jr, two Brothers Willie and Gonzalo Jr. and two Sisters Alice and Sally. Daniel’s legacy will continue with his wife Ruby, Daughter Lisa and her husband Keith, Daughter Natalie and her husband Roman. Six grandchildren Eric, Linda, Sarah, Jeremy, Roman Jr and Mia. Along with his brother Gilbert, sisters Vera and Linda; with many nieces and nephews.
