On April 5, 2015, Easter Sunday, our Lord received Kay into His everlasting kingdom. A native of San Jose, she was the youngest of her siblings to her father and mother, Vincent and Josie Colombo. Kay was the beloved wife to her late husband Joe of 60 years, Mother to her three sons, Joe, Pat and Gary and special nephew Jim. Her daughters in laws Marianne and Judy, and her five grandchildren Lauren, Vincent, Megan, Ashley and Nicole. Her great grandchildren Mason and Marcus. Her most important attribute was her love and commitment to her family. Kay lived to serve family. Her spontaneous and cheerful personality was her centerpiece that family and friends will always remember. Spending time with her meant that you would leave happier than when you arrived. Her smile and listening ear would sooth your soul. Friends and family will remember her incredible Italian cooking, recipes handed down from her dear mother. Kay is now joined to her brothers Pat and Joe Colombo, her sister Mary Sunseri, her nephew Sal and her long awaited first son, Jimmie. Kay also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. To her friends, she will be truly missed. To her family mom will be the example of love that will be used as a guidepost for the rest of their lives. Her sons are assured that this is not goodbye but only until we join you again soon. We love you mom. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 5-9PM with Rosary at 6PM at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 9AM at St. John Vianney Parish, 4600 Hyland Ave., San Jose. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
