So sorry I could not be with the family today. I have had all of you in my loving thoughts and prayers. Lula was such a sweet and pleasant sister-in-law. I love her very much and will always cherish fond memories of her. ( especially her delicious Caramel cake). Love to everyone from my family.

My sister in law was intelligent, had a unique sense of humor that was infectious, Lula was a people person who loved sharing laughter and “repartee” as she called it. She shared her faith with sincerity and love. She and Dallas loved to exchange witty comments to see who could out-do each other. I loved her.

"Mamaw" was a "pistol" and the rock of her family. I had the pleasure of getting to know her via Lisa, Krista and Neil Simison. I made this short recording in 2007 when I was visiting at her home. I hope you all enjoy it.

Aunt Lula was such a beautiful and strong woman, a veritable force to be reckoned with.
She has always been my favorite aunt. I couldn't help but love and admire her faith and tenacity.
A special memory I have was sleeping beside her in the twin beds when they were pushed together. We laughed all night telling each other stories and sharing our thoughts on God and life's lessons.
I feel so blessed to have had the honor of getting to know her.
I know you had many loved ones greet you upon arrival. Rest in Peace with our Lord and Savior dearest aunt.
Love, hugs, and prayers for my cousins and loved ones you left behind.
