Mary "Punkin" Ella Murphy

Mrs. Mary Ella Murphy, affectionately known as “Punkin”, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 15, 2020 after a lengthy illness. She was a native and longtime resident of Axis, AL. She is preceded in death by her parents, Reed and Kathren Etheridge, brothers James “Buddy” Jarvis and Gary Etheridge .

Punkin is survived by her loving husband Johnny Murphy, her precious daughters, Kimberly James (Charles) Kyle and Kelly James (Carlton) Welch, step-sons Jeremy (Kate) Murphy and Eric (Kim) Murphy.

She is also survived by her loving grandchildren; Logan Kyle, Landon Kyle, Whitney Murphy, Elizabeth Murphy, Brayden Murphy, Hunter Murphy, Mitch Baker, Abby Baker, great grandchildren; Murphy Baker, Madeline and Brady Baker sisters; Beverly Kittrell (Joe), Brenda Mook (Greg), and Diane Jarvis.

A special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for the loving care shown to the family during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Saraland on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service time of 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Creola Cemetery, Creola. AL.
