Requiem Mass will be held at noon on Monday, October 17 at the Church of the Redeemer. Interment to follow at St. Francis Memorial Garden.
Survivors include husband Richard R. Stanfield, daughters Clair Ransom (Roger Thorpe) of Hopewell, NJ, Miriam Strohmeier (Tom) of Louisville, KY, 3 grandchildren
Vanessa Wagner and Thomas and Anne Strohmeier and a great grand-child Sawyer Wagner.
Clara was a 29 year resident of Sarasota.
She was born in Galveston, IN and is a graduate of Indiana University. She had a love for children and was an elementary school teacher for many years. She was a member of the Church of the Redeemer and a lifelong member of Chi Omega Fraternity.
