George Graham Dickson, Jr., 78, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on May 2, 2018. A memorial service will be held Saturday May 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at National Cremation Society, 2290 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, Florida.
George was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina. He graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School in 1957 and continued on to receive a Law Degree from the University of Florida.
George worked as an attorney for over 40 years, first in Fort Lauderdale and then in Sarasota. He was an active member of the YMCA. He was also a Mason, a Shriner and a Lt. Colonel in the Army Reserve.
George is survived by his brother, Donald Dickson of Chapel Hill, NC and his nieces, Isabel Dickson Goodson, Denver CO, Katherine Anne Dickson Burns, Chapel Hill, NC, Jennie Dickson Mills, Chapel Hill, NC, and Claire Dickson, Chapel Hill, NC along with many cousins from the Dickson and Lamont families.
