
Croteau,Jean Marie, 66 of Sarasota,Fl. passed away at Sarasota Memorial Hospital with her family nearby, Monday, March 28, 2016. Born in North Stratford, New Hampshire, in April, 1949, she was a daughter of the late John Stevens Sr. and Theresa (Bouthellier) Stevens. Jean was married to George Croteau of Sarasota, and She loved being around family, her children and especially Her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She also enjoyed anything Native American (she was of Mi’kmaq descent and a member of the Truro, NS Band), watching Sci-fy, doing puzzles, drawing and helping others. She was employed at United States Awnings in Sarasota. We are saddened by the loss of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and our best-friend. She is survived by two children, Rose Brown and Patricia Forcier. nine Brothers and Sisters, Shirley Coulter, John Stevens Jr, Laura Stevens, Mary Jane Stevens, William Stevens, Jacquelyn Stevens, James Stevens, Leroy Stevens.; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents Jean was predeceased by her son Robert Croteau. Visitation will take place National Cremation and Burial Society, 2990 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota from 7 to 9 PM Friday 1 April, 2016 until her funeral mass on Saturday at 10:00 in the National Cremation & Burial Society Chapel, 2990 Bee Ridge Rd.
