November 6, 1957 – October 21, 2020
Karen Guglielmini, 62, passed away Wednesday morning in the presence of her loving family by her side. She was born in Patterson, NJ to George and Helen Johnson. She grew up in New Jersey, true Jersey girl, and spent the last 37 years in Florida. She worked for the Sarasota County Health Department for over 20 years.
She will be remembered fondly by all that knew her. Karen’s defining traits were her honesty, kindness, smile, her adoration of her family, her laugh, but most of all her quick wit and smarts! She was an absolutely amazing wife and mother, a loving and caring sister, a great friend, and most importantly a doting Karebear/Gigi.
She is survived by her wonderfully devoted husband Vincent, son Jamie (Christina), daughter Ashley (Brian), grandchildren Bailey, Chloe, and Jamison, brother Dennis (Joyceann), sisters Janis, Pam (Bobby), Kathy, niece Alyssa (Joe), and nephew Danny (Stephanie), as well as extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Helen Johnson.
Karen loved her family immensely and always felt she was the lucky one because she had a true family.

My thoughts & prayers are with all of the family & all that loved her. She could light up a room & all that knew her couldn't help but love her! I met Karen when I 1st moved here & we worked at the health department. We were on hurricane duty together for numerous hurricanes the 1st year & she has been my best friend ever since. I loved her sense of humor & her wit. Her compassion for others was genuine. I know I'm not alone in saying how deeply I miss her. She is forever in my heart. I love Karen....until I see you again💜

That was a beautiful obit. I didn’t know Karen as well as Kathy, but I have heard so many wonderful things about her. Gone too young and will be missed by her loved ones and friends. So sorry for your loss.
