Morris Jacobson, age 98, of Sarasota, Florida, passed peacefully on October 14, 2020. He was born on July 22, 1922 in Buffalo, New York to Louis and Freida Jacobson. Morris graduated from Mansfield State Teachers College and the University of Pittsburgh (D.D.S.). He was a dentist in Williamsport, PA, and also served on the Pennsylvania State Dental Board for many years. He was a World War II Era veteran, serving in the Philippines and Okinawa.
Morris was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley Ethel Blass, second wife, Doris Berney, a daughter, Faye Jacobson, and brothers, Milton of Sarasota FL and Irving of Baltimore, MD. He is survived by his three children, Andrew (Micheleen) Jacobson of Newville, PA, Diane Jacobson (Randall) of Oakland, CA, and Jerrold (Stacy) Jacobson of Arcadia, FL, grandchildren Marissa Delany and Hannah Jacobson, step-children, Jeffery and Ruth Ann Berney, and three step-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank all the generous and skilled care givers who, both in his own home and at Benderson Skilled Nursing on the Aviva campus, made Morris’s last years ones of comfort, caring and laughter.
No services will be held due to COVID 19. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
