Betty Noreen Earle Puttick

March 29, 1930March 10, 2014

Betty will be greatly missed by all her family. She was a kind, generous and patient person who gave greatly to her family, church and community. Betty’s parents, William and Maude Earle, emigrated from England to Canada to homestead near Donavon, Saskatchewan where Betty was born. Sisters Edna and Irene and brothers Len, Mel and Don predeceased Betty. Brother Alan is the lone surviving sibling. Betty married Harold Puttick, the love of her life, on January 21, 1950. They raised two children Hal (Debbie) and Noreen (Jim), and have five grandsons, Colin (Jenny), Kenton (Jeanette), Jeremy, Aaron (Rochelle) and Daniel. Betty was a proud great-grandmother to Bradley, Kadence, Leah, Judah, Declan, Ainsley, and Natalie. Betty loved caring for her grandchildren and the infants at church. She was an avid golfer for many years participating in the women’s section at Holiday Park Golf course. A very good athlete she enjoyed curling, bowling and round dancing. Turtle Lake was her favorite summer destination where she and Harold developed many wonderful friendships. A Celebration of Betty’s life will be held Monday, March 17 at 10:00 am at St. George’s Anglican Church, 624 Ave. I South, with Reverend Joe Ponic officiating. A lunch will follow. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Acadia McKague’s Funeral Centre 306-955-1600.

Hal Noreen,
So sorry to read of the passing of your Mum Betty. I believe my late husband Christopher Perrett was Betty's cousin from England. He was the son of Annie (Dolly)Perrett, who's sister was Maude Earle who used to come over to stay with them many years ago.there are still three of her five children alive. Brian,Michael, & Joyce. We lost touch when Maude died.

We would all like to send our condolences to you and the family.

If you would like to keep in touch my email address is:
