Elsie Bruni

Predeceased by her beloved husband of 69 years only 11 days prior on March 5, 2019. Loving mother of Michael (Janice), Pat (Jean-Paul) and Terry (Colleen). Grandma to Jesse Bruni (Stephanie), Amanda Bruni (Johnny), Gino Bruni (Tekla), Cassidy Bruni (Carly), Teryn Bruni (Matthew), Justin Bruni (Cassandra), Jenny Moore (Jason), and Steff Moore (Chris) as well Great Grandmother to 8. Will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Elsie was born in Ignace, Ontario in 1925, but moved to Arona, Italy as a child where she grew up. She returned to Canada in 1947 where she met Egidio and married in 1949. Elsie was a beautiful lady, who exuded class in everything she did, but without question her claim to family fame was her fabulous Italian cooking. She took great pride in perfecting and sharing it with all who passed through her cucina. It will be remembered as such a part of who she was. Friends may visit at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. (705-759-2522) on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 11:30 am until 12:30. Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1 pm. Rev. Paul Conway officiating. Memorial contributions (made payable by cheque) to the F.J. Davey Home would be appreciated.
