Memories are all that are left to hold on to.

There will be an empty place at our table on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas and an empty spot in our heart. As the last remaining family member on that side of my family she held a very special spot for our family, especially after the loss of my Mom (her sister) she became a surrogate mother to me and as a great aunt more of a grandmother to Jenna and Ryan and she was loved dearly.

I will miss our calls and sharing of past family history and the meeting up with old friends, taking Finnish class refresher and the sisters’ birthday celebrations....these times and moments will remain in warm memories.

I could always call on her for support when my Mom was unwell... and to my Mom’s dying day. COVID came at a tough time and I hope she felt and knew our support and love for her during these trying times.

A chapter has closed. Our love and warm memories of her will be carried on.
