Christina Schweissgut

Passed away peacefully on September 3rd, 2023 after a rich and wonderful life. Christine was born in Kernei, Yugoslavia in 1928. She met the love of her life, the late Karl Schweter in Germany, where they married. She married the late Josef Schweissgut in 1988 and they had many happy years together.

Christine was a loving mother to Ingrid Cathcart (Tom) and Karen Schweter (Debbie Georgiou). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren; Calvin (Flora), Spencer (Colleen), Philip (Heather) and Isabella. She found joy in her great-grandson Thomas in her latter years. Christine will be missed by her sister-in-law and great friend Regina Stoeckl. She was a beloved sister to her late brothers George(Katrina) and Anton(Regina) and their families. Visitation will take place on Thursday September 7, from 4pm to 8pm at the Paul O’Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto. A service will follow at the funeral home on Friday September 8, at 10 am. Light refreshments will follow. Friends and family are welcome to attend the final rite of committal and interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto. The family asks for any donations to go to The Hospital for Sick Children.
