William Robert Hahnke

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of William “Bill” Hahnke, aged 80, of Mesa, Arizona, who peacefully departed to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 9th. Born in Wyandotte, MI, Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Dorothy Hahnke, his brother John Hahnke, and ex-wife Patricia Eisenhart.

Bill is fondly remembered by his devoted wife of twenty-six years, Marsha Hahnke, and his daughters Shelley Hahnke and Kathy (and husband Scott Turley). His brothers, Karl Hahnke and Bob Hahnke (and wife Inice). Additionally, three stepchildren: Shawn Groves, Shannon (and husband Jason Daugherty), Sheri (and husband John Garcia), along with 3 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, one step-great grandchild and 9 nieces and nephews.

A distinguished Navy veteran, Bill dedicated several years of service to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department. His multifaceted talents included being a highly skilled trumpet player and singer. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bill will be eternally cherished for his witty sense of humor, which unfailingly brought laughter and love to his extensive family and friends.

May his soul rest in peace as we reflect on a life well-lived and a legacy that will endure in our hearts. Well done good and faithful servant.

A memorial service for William will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024, 11:00 AM, Living Word Bible Church is 3520 E. Brown Rd, Mesa, AZ 85213.
