Arch Taylor Allen
November 28, 1927 – March 17, 2018
Arch Allen transitioned from death to everlasting life on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his home In Seaside, CA surrounded by his family and friends. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Seaside where he served as Deacon, Trustee, Sunday School Assistant Superintendent and Teacher of the Men’s class. Deacon Allen possessed powerful speaking and singing gifts and talents that the Lord used to inspire men, women, boys and girls of all walks of life. He was a man full of the Spirit of God and good works; and, was not ashamed to share his love for the Lord Jesus.
Deacon Allen served eight years in the Army, settling in Seaside upon his discharge in the 50s. He worked as a Chef at the Presidio as well as clerk at the Snack and Bottle Liquor Store in Seaside, where God used him to minister to many in the community.
Left to mourn his physical death but celebrate his transition to eternal life are: his wife of 17 years, Willie Allen; four sisters: Eva Allen of Chicago, IL; Johnny Knight, Port Gibson, MS; Lettie Floyd, Milwaukee, WI; Gladys Williams, Port Gibson, MS; special niece, Patricia Allen, Marina, CA. and niece, Stephanie Allen, Tallahassee, FL...godsons, Bobby Thompson, Marina, CA. and William Ware, Yuba, CA,; granddaughters Nicole and Nakesha Allen of Oakland, CA; godson, Bobby Thompson; and, a host of relatives, friends and his New Hope Baptist Churcn family.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Bayside Community Mortuary, 1610 Noche Buena Street, Seaside, Ca. 93955 and a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 1304 Sonoma Avenue, Seaside, Ca. 93955. Burial to follow at Mission Memorial Park, 1915 Ord Grove Avenue, Seaside, Ca. 93955
