Arlene Daisy Peterson

Arlene Daisy Peterson, 86, of Kenmore, WA, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 4, 2018, just days before her 87th birthday.

Arlene was born in Seattle, WA, on May 9, 1931 to Floyd Jesse and Zenith Francis Allen. She grew up in Ballard and graduated from Ballard High School. Arlene married Clarence Henry Peterson, Jr., June 18, 1949. Clarence and Arlene bought their first home on Phinney Ridge in Seattle where they lived many years and raised their family. Arlene loved being outside in nature. She enjoyed family camping and spending time at their summer cabin on Maggie Lake. After she retired, Clarence and Arlene built a new home on Maggie Lake where they lived for several years. In 2011, she relocated to Kenmore, WA, living in the Sequoias Senior Apartments enjoying an active lifestyle with her friends.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served well. She was a former Relief Society president and served a mission in Albuquerque, NM, with her eternal companion, Clarence. She fiercely loved her family and relished in the joys of life. She will truly be missed.

Arlene is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Peterson, Jr, her parents, Floyd and Zenith, and her brother Daniel Allen. She is survived by her three daughters and their husbands: Connie and Carl, Cheri and Todd, and Carrie and Mark; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Brian, Austin (Sunshine), Andrea (Danny), Camille (Owen), Carlene (Brian), Leslie, Krystal (Adam), and Jessica; and 16 great-grandchildren.
