She departed this life on Thursday, July 9, 2020 still holding steadfast to her faith and our Heavenly Fathers unchanging hand.
She grew up in Woodville, MS where she made many lifelong friends. Shortly after graduating high school, Bessie moved to Seattle, Washington in the sixties where later she met the love of her life the late Herbert “Roadrunner” Ladson Jr. Their love lasted for over thirty-nine years. Her favorite things to do included gardening, reading, and spoiling her granddaughter.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Trinity Rachael (Richardson) Chandler; son-in-law, Don Chandler; one grandchild, Kyla Rachael Marks; one sister, Mary Edna (Clark) Jacque, one brother, John Henry Clark; a special family friend and neighbor, Ramona Hildreth, and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Nathaniel Clark and David Clark; two sisters, Ophelia (Clark) Veal and Mamie Lee (Clark) Grover.
Today is not a day of mourning, but a day of rejoicing and celebrating the eternal life of Albertha “Bessie” (Clark) Richardson.
For I am now ready to be offered and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith.
