Francisca was born in Pitogo, Quezon Province, Philippines on March 9, 1922. She was the only child of Teodoro Ananca and Dominga Uriarte, who passed away when Francisca was a young girl. Her uncle and aunt, Severo and Gliceria Uriarte and cousins took her into their home and raised her.
In 1940, at the age of 18 years old, Francisca eloped and married Proceso Glinoga. The next year, the young couple welcomed their first child, Rosalia “Sally”. Altogether they had six children: Rosalia “Sally”, Enqrique “Iking/Ike”, Ismael “Isming”, Pamela “Pamy”, Gregorio “Goring”, and Teodoro “Dodo”.
Francisca was dedicated to raising her children. She also was very active in the Women’s Club, an organization with which she travelled to nearby barrios to provide outreach to women, enjoyed making arts and crafts, and hosted galas.
Francisca immigrated to the United States in 1977, where she helped raise her grandchildren for the Glinoga, Dimaunahan, Herrera, Kaiser and Navaja families in Seattle, WA. She is survived by her five oldest children as her youngest son, Teodoro had unfortunately passed away long before her.
She always put God and family first, praying daily for each family member. Her favorite pastimes included growing beautiful gardens, singing, cooking Filipino food, reading, and watching The Filipino Channel (TFC).
Francisca is survived by her 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
