Dear Frankie: I just heard from Debbie that Aunt Laura had died. You have my most sincere condolences. She and Uncle Frank were two of the kindest people I ever knew in my life. I was lucky to have them as my aunt and uncle, and just as lucky to have you as a cousin. I visited your Mom until I moved to Georgia in May 2016, and I was often able to make her laugh and if I told her enough old stories, she would frequently remember for a while and we'd talk as if it were 40 years before. Not for long stretches, but she had a great, wicked sense of humor, even for those few minutes, and we shared some great laughs. I'll never forget that laugh or her distinctive voice, and I miss having Uncle Frank and Aunt Laura in a world that needs more people like them. --Much love, Tommy Hughes
