John D. Zeock
September 22, 1920 – April 7, 2018
John D. Zeock passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Suncoast Hospice Care Center, Pinellas Park, Florida. Born in Syracuse, New York on September 22, 1920. He married Isabell J. Snedeker on October 15, 1941 and they were married 70 years. They welcomed their one son, Jack S. Zeock on June 17, 1946. They moved to Rome, New York in 1950 where in his spare time he became Chief of the Volunteer Fire Department, Cub Scout Leader, was a member of the Moose Club, Masonic Temple, American Legion and the Elks Club also in Seminole, Florida.
John was a Master Sergeant in the Army from 1939 through 1945 and then became a civilian in the Air force from 1945 to 1976. He was supervisor of photography (science & technology) research for classified and scientific projects. During his military and civilian career he received several letters of appreciation and awards for his outstanding work for our country.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Isabell. He is survived by his son, Jack (Linda) Zeock; 3 grandchildren, Katie, Harry and Sam; daughter in law, Amanda;16 great-grandchildren, Mark, Jessica, Abbi, Izzi, McKayla, McKenzie, April, Lily, Alex, John, Jack, Grady, Sam, Zackery, Julianna, and Noah who all live in the Carolinas; sister, Helen Cassin who lives in Endicott, NY; nieces, Sandi Frear, and Jane Porter; nephews, Gerald and John Porter who live in Pinellas County, Florida.
