Jamie Lynn LaRue, 46, of Shallotte passed away Wednesday April 10, 2019 at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick. Jamie was born in Randolph County on August 25, 1972 and was the daughter of the late Joe and Faye Garner Golien. She graduated from Asheboro High School and then attended UNC Greensboro where she received a degree in nursing. She enjoyed attending mud races with her husband. She was a member of Shell Point Baptist Church. Jamie had a heart of gold and loved her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Joe LaRue ; her children, Joseph Brantley LaRue, Emily Faye LaRue, Lauren Grace LaRue all of the home, Makayla Lynn Frye of Ash, Bryant Golien of Lynchburg, Va.; a brother, Joey Golien of Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Sunday April 14, 2019 at three o’clock in the afternoon at Shell Point Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe LaRue, Gene Cumbee, Michael Blake, Wayne Mooney, Greg Willey, Timmy Hewett. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday afternoon one hour prior to the service. I remember Jamie we first met when I came to Asheboro with her cousin James Golein. She was the first person I knew and she was amazing welcomed me into the Family. She even gave up her own room for us. We love her an she will always be in our heart. Rest now Jamie you will be missed by so maney. Tiger said he loves you an remembers all the summers that you an the Family .had.

My mom was the most kind hearted, warm hearted person you could ask to be around, she would give someone the shirt off her back and the food off her plate, she loved her kids more than anything and im so grateful to be able to call her my momma❤ I love you so much, and miss you so so much.

My son worked for Joe and that's how I met Jamie everytime I saw her she was always smiling .She had compassion in her heart she was a loving mother and wife.
