Dale Wittmann

Gwen Dale (Dale) Wittmann died on Tuesday, July 7, in his home after as extended battle with cancer. Dale was born on a farm west of Tecumseh, Ok on May 13, 1934, to Lloyd L. and Irene (Alldredge) Wittmann. His growing up years were spent on a farm southeast of Tecumseh where he attended Forest View Grade School. He later attended Tecumseh High School. Dale joined the U.S. Navy Amphibious Force Pacific Fleet in February 1953 and was honorably discharged from active duty in February 1957. He later joined the U.S. Air Force Reserves and was an Instructor Loadmaster on the C-124 aircraft. He was also a licensed commercial pilot in general aviation and held an FCC Amateur Radio License (W5BOA). He retired from U.S. Civil Service in December 1987. Dale worked an additional 18 years delivering propane. He was a devoted member of New Beginnings Church since 2005. Dale was proceeded in death by his parents; his wife, Edwinna(Atteberry-Lee) Wittmann, daughter, Kathy and husband, Kent Crow; brother, Joe Wittmann and wife, Barbara; sister, Lena Mae and husband, Cecil Barnett; and his sister, Dorthy Kennedye. Dale's survivors are his children: son, Lloyd J. Wittmann and wife Brenda; daughter, Betty Ann (Wittmann) and husband Richard Taylor. His step children include: Ronald Lee (deceased) and widow, Rita; Mike Lee and friend, Kay; Lorna(Lee) and husband, Pete Blochowiak; Kendal Lee and wife Kellie; Victor Lee and wife, Sharla; Judy (Lee) and husband, Edward Aguirre; Carla(Lee) and husband, Jim Craig; Frank Respicio and wife, Pam; and Doris Odell. He had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special friend: Josephine Koontz. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, 10 July, at 2:00 P.M. at New Beginnings Church. Mike Taylor will be officiating.
