I too served with Mike on the USS Hammerhead. I remember the time shared with him on the boat and with others as some of the best days of our lives in the early 70's. He loved America an American Motors.

Mike was a very smart, decent and talented man. He was a submariner, who could be depended on, when I served with him on the USS Hammerhead. He was ultra-competent, yet thorough and helpful to those who were not as quick or perceptive as he.

Mike Creider's commitment to serving our Country placed him in harm's way on classified operations that protected the United States. Those who served with him from those years are the better for having known him.

My condolences to and prayers for his family are offered in this difficult time.

May he rest in peace. Amen.

I served aboard the USS Hammerhead SSN663 with Mike and have great memories of our time underwater traveling all over the world. He and I were out on the ice at the North Pole together and just last year he sent me some pictures of the event. He was super smart and had a kind and welcoming nature and never made anyone an adversary. He was a patriot of the highest order and served his country with honor and distinction. Those that served with Mike have never forgotten his loyalty and dedication to our missions and I'm so proud to have served with him and been his friend. Rest your oars sailor, we have the watch.
