Barbara Jeter Primos, 84, was born in Wyatt, La. on February 4th, 1934 to Madison & Cora Lee Jeter and passed away at home, in Shreveport, La. on December 6th, 2018 after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s.
Barbara graduated from Fair Park High School and lived most of her life in Shreveport, La. Barbara always put family first and spent the majority of her life helping mold the lives of young children. She worked with children in church and she owned Barbara’s Little Friend’s Daycare, where she was affectionately known as “Ms. Barbara”.
She was preceded in death by her husband who was the love of her life for 60 years Melvyne Primos, father Madison Jeter, mother Cora Lee Jeter, and sister Linda Jeter. Left to cherish her memory is her son Terry Primos and wife Patricia, daughter Jeanie Dantes and husband Allen, grandchildren Leslie Pardue, Carly Jacobsen and husband Ryan, Joshua Lang and wife Macy, Christian Dantes, Nicholas Dantes, and five great-grandchildren, as well as her beloved dog Chico.
Honoring Barbara as pallbearers will be Joshua Lang, Christian Dantes, Nicholas Dantes, Ryan Jacobsen, Mark Primos, and Joey Presley.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Shanta Pickens and Jamie Tolson-Smith of Southern Care Hospice for their love, compassionate care, and support.
Funeral services will be held at Centuries Memorial in Shreveport, La. on Monday, December 10th, 2018 at 2:00pm. There will be a time of visitation before the service from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Officiating will be Brother Gary Boswell.
