Larry Polk

Larry D. Polk, Sr. or "LP", age 72, passed away on Jan 6, 2021, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Larry was born July 16, 1948, in Canalou, MO. to the late Alvin and Evelyn Scott Polk. He graduated from Lilbourn High School in 1966. After graduation, he proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam war. He was baptized at Big Ridge General Baptist Church. Larry was a dedicated and active member of the Freemasons, Big Prairie Jaycees, American Legion, and the New Madrid and Sikeston Eagles.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Larry D. Polk, Jr. and Joanna P. Polk of Lombard, IL.; one daughter, Malissa Polk of New Madrid, MO.; one grandaughter, Daisy Polk; three brothers, Lonnie Polk of Matthews, MO., Andrew Polk of Matthews, MO., and Joe Polk of Portageville, MO.; three sisters, Mable Walker of New Madrid, MO., Lydia Howard of New Madrid, MO., and Gail Polk of Millington, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene Polk, Samuel Polk, and Eddie Polk.

A memorial service will be held at a future date prior to his interment at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.

So very sorry to hear about Larry. Didn't know him well, but went to Lilbourn School together and graduated the same year. He sure seemed to be a nice person. I am truly sorry for your loss.
