The air your mother breathes
As I walk behind her
I see your empty seat
At the head of the table
I remember your dad
And my uncle Antoni
I remember our aunt
At the opposite head
My dad would come later
He always came later
And that meant I could stay
With Filitsa longer
Your mom never sat down
She took care of us all
And yiayia just took pride.
One by one they all left
And you rebuilt the table
With your own family.
I always admired that.
But they loved you the most
And their pull became strong
It’s okay my hero
They are where you belong
But you will always be
The air your mother breathes.

Nondas and his crew were always wonderful during set up for the Festival at church. He was so sweet and made me laugh and sometimes groan at how many changes we had made in the electrical scheme. I loved making Frappes for him and the crew...we called it the "energy drink" His memory will be long lasting with me and others I am sure. His presence will be missed.

We had the pleasure of meeting Nondas several years ago. We began to work with him and immediately we became more than just work companions, but friends! Nondas was a man with great integrity, work ethic, and most of all, a heart filled with love and a smile that would light up the room. He never complained, but would always figure out a way to get the job done. Working with his son George now, is like a mirror image of his father. He taught him well! We look forward to helping George carry on his father’s legacy. To the family, please know that we are thankful for the time we shared with Nondas. You are in our thoughts and prayers, and we will be there to help and support you in every way possible.

My name is Lorena Diaz! I worked with Maria at Giant and that is were I met her family! Her mom and dad would always shop there and most of the time I would be the one that would check them out! Her dad was always the serious one but always had a big heart when I would see him he never failed to ask me how my day was going or just a how are you which comes a long way for someone! The times I asked him about his granddaughter was when his face omg all you saw was a big smile! He said thats my pride and joy! He’s now in a better place! May he Rest In Peace! Sending my condolences to the entire family!

Dear nephew.....memories are too many and dear to share in a short space as this....May you rest in peace and know that you are never forgotten. Strength to your entire family and as we grieve we should rejoice for all the great times that we shared. I will always remember you from your early childhood as the "little boy" with great talent, smile and a lot of love to share. May you now rest knowing that there is no more pain and sorrow and you will be in the company of many who love you in God's vineyard. I wish I never had to write this note, but it is with love that I know one day we will meet again and laugh and rejoice. Thea Andriana Kalapothakos

My beloved cousin Nondas was truly one of a kind. His humor, laughter, and wit will be missed. I have more memories than I can recount in a short post. He was my father's sidekick and was always there when I needed him. From holidays, to taking our theia out on Tuesdays, we had a great time wherever we were. He will be missed but never forgotten. My heart goes out to my aunt, Phyllis and his family.
