ADD A MEMORYMerry (J.L.'s daughter)

He was my father's cousin but I was told to call him "Uncle Al" because he was older than me and to show respect. I did respect him very much. He was always very kind and friendly, and he was very generous in sharing the "fruits" of his labor from his orchard. I know he cared for his family very much and I hope they find comfort in their memories of him. RIP Uncle Al, thank you for always being so nice, you will be missed.

So sorry to hear that Al has left us "for greener Pastures"!
My prayers are with you all as you struggle with your loss. I did not know him very well but was always very impressed with him and his family! How pleasant and happy everyone always was

My heart goes out to all of the Pong Family. The world has lost a great man who shared so much of his wisdom for everyone to enjoy... Will miss your wisdom and smile, Al, and that knowledge of all you have grown at Pong's Orchard, Howard County's Secret Garden.
You all are in my thoughts... - Alice

Very sad for your loss wish the best for your family.
I worked with Al for many years at the VA. Was a member of the infamous HONG KONG EXPRESS car pool. Al Pong, Al Pong, Tom Louie and me(Kurt Knight). Always remember AL's Cadillac, meeting at Al's restaurant, stoping by Al Wong mother occasionally in down town DC. Always enjoyed the commute. Al will always be in my most pleasant memories. Quite a group, quite a time.
