Born on May 30, 1941, in Tehran, Iran, Simin lived a life defined by resilience, compassion, and devotion to her loved ones. With courage and determination, she immigrated to the United States, raising her four children and building a home grounded in love and generosity.
Simin was known for her warmth, strength, and kindness, and for the way she made everyone feel like family. Her love was generous and enduring, a constant source of comfort to those who knew her.
She found joy in life’s simple moments: cooking for her family, creating through sewing and crocheting, and relaxing with a good puzzle or game show. She found beauty in all of Allah’s creations, from the sweetness of jasmine to the bright, long-lasting blooms of carnations.
Her presence filled every space with comfort and connection, and her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.
She is survived by her children, Sepideh, Soheil, Mohammad Sasan, and Amir Sepehr Jahed; her daughter-in-law, Rebecca Jahed; and her beloved grandchildren, Paislee Hayford and her husband Kwame, Ashley Hasanov and her husband Mehdi, Alexis Jahed, and Alec Jahed. Her legacy lives on in their laughter, their love, and the strength she passed down to them.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, no visitors will be received. A private ceremony will be held to honor her memory, and a celebration of her life will take place in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization close to Simin’s heart.
