Ralford Genous Jackson
September 12, 1933 – January 23, 2020
Ralford G. Jackson went to be with The Lord on Thursday, January 23, 2019. Ralford was born on September 12, 1933 at Camberwell, Annotto Bay, Jamaica to Victor and Hazel Jackson (neé Wilson). Ralford was a loving and caring husband, father and brother who always placed the needs of others above his own. Ralford received his formal education at Camberwell schools. He trained to become a teacher but felt that it wasn’t his true calling. So he left Annotto Bay and went to train in Kingston to become a police officer. He worked as a police officer in Kingston for six years. He eventually migrated to England where he worked in the field of Transportation Services. In 1969, he migrated to America where he worked as a dental lab technologist at Somar Dental Laboratories for 16 years in Queens, New York. He met his future wife, Sheila Sibblies, in Brooklyn, New York and they were married January 6, 1973. They lived in Queens, New York for 16 years and in 1990 moved to Florida. He continued his career at Ceramic Arts Dental Laboratories in Florida. He also became a member of the Episcopal Church of Atonement and was an usher for many years. Ralford and Sheila eventually retired and moved to Georgia in 2007. They enjoyed 47 years of marriage until his death.
Ralford leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Sheila Jackson and children Keisha Jackson of Cumming, GA.; Jason Jackson of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.; Georgiana (Pat) Williams of Brooklyn, New York; sisters Rita (Gloria) Jackson of Stone Mountain, GA; Ita Dawkins of Decatur, GA.; Druscilla (Pam) Jackson of Brooklyn, New York; Delores (Del) Hudson Savalamar, Jamaica; aunt Cislyn Gooding and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
