West Dennis – Meredyth (Sherrard) Williams passed away peacefully on April 27, 2019. She was the daughter of the late James O. and Frances P. Sherrard. Meredyth was the wife of the late Joseph P. Williams, who passed away in 1995.
She was born in Montclair, New Jersey and graduated from Henry B. Whitehorne High School in Verona, New Jersey and Endicott College in Beverly, MA. She lived in Chatham, New Jersey for many years before moving to West Dennis in 1988. She had been a summer resident since 1944.
She was a member of the West Dennis Garden Club where she was a former board member and served on the Jericho Historical House and Barn Museum committee. She was also a member of the Dennis Historical Society.
Survivors include a son, Stephen W. Williams and his partner Pamela Garanger of Rockaway, NJ; granddaughter, Jenna; grandson, Christopher, and two nieces and three nephews. She was predeceased by her twin sister Gail S. MacMillan.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 6th from 10a-11:30a at Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134, South Dennis, MA. Burial to follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Dennis.
