Jeffrey S. Bishop

January 9, 1964April 4, 2021

Jeffrey Scott Bishop, 57, of Bristol and formerly of Southington, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 4, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. He was the loving husband of Dyanna (Cote) Bishop. He was born January 9, 1964 in Meriden to the late Carl and Gladys (Clements) Bishop.

Jeffrey was a dedicated employee of Pratt and Whitney for 35 years where he proudly rose through the ranks to lead man. He greatly enjoyed his friendships with coworkers and spoke frequently of them. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and the UCONN Women’s Basketball team. Some of his favorite memories were family trips to the Bahamas and Las Vegas. He also enjoyed bowling with his daughters on various leagues throughout the years and was known to have quite the competitive streak. He could always be depended on by family and friends to drop everything and help when needed. Many will remember him as a hard-working man with a wicked sense of humor.

In addition to his wife he leaves his two daughters, Stephanie Menard and her husband Edward of Windsor who was like a son to him, and Jessica Bishop of Southington; and his sister Linda Denton and her husband Keith of Richfield Springs, NY. In addition to his parents, Jeff is predeceased by his brothers David Bishop and Carl (Billy) Bishop.

Calling hours will be held from 11am – 2pm on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N Main St., Southington. Casual dress is required as Jeff would have wanted. Masks and social distancing precautions are required. In lieu of flowers please donate to The Special Olympics of CT ( where Jeff volunteered many years with his daughters. Ken and I bowled with Jeff and Jess for the past few years on Friday night. He was always very competitive and hated to lose! LOL We have just moved out of the area this past January and were so saddened to see this. This should have not happened to him-he was so full of life! Jess your family is in our hearts and in our prayers. We just wish we could be there to comfort you in person, but know you are in our thoughts every day. Condolences to your mom and family. Please take care of your self.

Jeff was my lead man when I was on loan to Blades. He was incredibly helpful, always willing to impart knowledge in his friendly way. In that short time, I gained knowledge and made a friend.
