Born in New Britain on August 16, 1941, he was the son of the late Angelo and Josephine (Vernali) Lepito. Until the time of his illness, he was serving at a CT State Marshal. He has been a resident of Southington for over 34 years where he was a State Champion Southington Northern baseball coach and was a member of the Sons of Italy and a former member of the Democratic Town Committee. During the Vietnam Era, he served in the Air National Guard.
The people that John has touched with his kindness and sense of humor will carry his memory forever.
Besides his wife John leaves a son John A. Lepito Jr. of New Britain, a daughter Gina and her husband Wayne Jewett of Southington, 2 grandchildren Jennifer and Michael Jewett, and 12 nieces, nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews.
John?s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the nurses and staff on Bliss 7 at Hartford Hospital for their exceptional care.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:15 a.m. from DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St to St. Aloysius Church for Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
