Nick is survived by his loving father Nicholas; his mother Laura and step-father Jerry; his sister Katie, brother-in-law Joel, and nephew Stephen; his brother Chris and his girlfriend Liah; his aunt Elizabeth and uncle Jack, and cousins Jessica and JT; his aunt Melissa and uncle Andrew, and cousins Heather and Sean; Nick is also survived by his beloved girlfriend Laurabeth Claeys; his beloved pets Daisy, Copper, and Charlotte, as well as his collection of exotic reptiles.
His late grandfather was a two-time purpleheart veteran; his late grandmother was a beloved, devoted figure who played an active role in his upbringing; both were fortunate enough to see their grandchildren grow into adulthood. His grandmother was able to lead a full life because of an organ donation. This, combined with Nick’s charitable nature, inspired him to be an active organ donor. It was his hope that he would be able to help others lead full, happy lives, even in his passing.
Nicholas was a proud honorary member of the American Legion, where he gladly volunteered his time with veterans. Nick was known for his sense of humor, his generous spirit, and his kind heart. He was a friend to everyone who met him.
Nick loved nature and animals of all shapes and sizes, but his true passion was reptiles.
Nick was a man who knew how to enjoy life; he filled his days with fishing, laughter, and the company of those he loved. Nick brightened the lives of everyone around him, and because of that, his memory will live on.
Our home will be much too quiet without him.
A service will be held in his honor at Goble Funeral Home on Saturday, February 4th, between 1:00 and 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Legion Post 423, in Oak Ridge, NJ.
