Kimberly Kay Vojta

Our much beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, aunt, niece and friend was called to heaven by the angels just short of her 40th birthday on December 23rd, 2012 in her home in Spokane, WA after a heroic battle with health issues.

Kimberly was born on January 3rd, 1973 to Terry Vojta and Rhonda Kuebler at Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Pasco, WA. She lived with her mother in the Tri Cities and Spokane throughout her years.

If there is one thing Kimberly was known for, it was for how she brought her unconditional love into your life. To know her was to love her, and whether it was with family, friends or her two cats, Kimberly’s excitement to see you, contagious laughter and joy for everything in this world always lightened your heart and lifted your spirits. She loved coloring, sorting through her movie collection that was second to none, and most of all, dancing. There was not a wedding, Christmas or graduation that went by where Kimberly was not the first one on the dance floor displaying the moves she learned from her favorite movies.

Kimberly graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1994, participated in several Special Olympics and had a life-long career as the head speech maker during family events. Regardless of the occasion, she was our family’s cheerleader, always leading the charge at gatherings and saying the perfect words in a way that only she could. Her brothers and sisters will always cherish the many memories of movie parties they had growing up, the competition for which one could earn the title of being her favorite and, of course, her favorite cherry Slurpees. We will all love and miss her forever, but we know she is up in heaven eating ice cream with her grandparents smiling down on all of us.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her Grandparents Jordan and Alieta Vojta and Bob Reed and her Uncle Kevin.

She leaves to carry on her wonderful stories, love and laughter, her parents, Rhonda Kuebler and Terry (Teresa) Vojta; her grandmother, Germaine Reed; her brothers, Jordan and Dusty; her sisters, Amy and Brandy; her cats Shorty and Kisses and too many other family and friends to count – all of whom are better people in this world for knowing her.

Memorial services will be held at the Cathedral of Joy in Richland, WA on January 5th, 2013 at 11:00 am.

I remember when she would lay across my stomach when I was pregnant with KD and smile when she felt him move! She had such a wonderful smile.

Kim blessed us with her keen, bright sense of humor and we felt good just by being around her.
Kim especially delighted in seeing her friends & family, who she loved dearly and for whom she expressed genuine care & concern for.
I fondly remember Kim telling me (1979) how "baby Ryan" wanted to be born so bad. Saying that.. he wanted to be out of my tummy. Kim often showed us an altruistic way of living. Because of her, we learned to love with our hearts wide open... and to speak what is pressing on our hearts. Although, perhaps... not one of us could express our selves as candidly and heartfelt as our dearest Kim. I feel blessed and forever changed by her sweet presence in my life.
I have this knowing that Kim was escorted by her very own heavenly band of angels. Taken out of this world with that larger than life smile on her face.
Through health struggles & challenges you were remarkably strong & heroic in my eyes.. and you deserve a special badge of honor.
Bless you my dear Kim, we take comfort in knowing that you are tenderly cared for- and gently held in God's loving embrace.
Sweet memories of you are forever mine to treasure & cherish my friend.
I will always love you, Lisa Nealey

Kim was funny without ever trying to be. The tone in her voice when she would admonish me for something I said or did would always make me laugh. I'll miss Kim and her unfiltered thoughts.

I will never forget her laughter when she got to ride in the old car, when we came to the car show. I know you will miss her and may heart goes out to you.
