Elmo Duane Keevy, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 3, 2018. Duane, as he was known, was born in Spokane, Washington on March 10, 1921 to parents Albert and Lyda Keevy. Duane graduated from North Central High School. He met his future wife Eleanor Shoults at a drug store soda fountain in Spokane, and they were married on May 31, 1942. They moved to Seattle, Washington where Duane worked for Boeing, and their first son Garry was born. They moved back to Spokane where two more sons (Craig and Jon) were born. Duane worked as lead mechanic for Babcock Motors, which was a Packard Dealership. He then started his own boat marine business, which he had for several years. A man of many talents, he built several homes, of which two were for his own family (one in Spokane and the other on Lake Coeur D’Alene). Many hours of fun and enjoyment were spent on Lake Coeur D’Alene, with family and friends. Duane was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor of 73 years, his parents Albert and Lyda Keevy, and his two sisters; Thelma Keevy and Elaine Lippert. He is survived by his three sons; Garry (Jane), Craig (Peggy and Jon (Deb), 10 Grandchildren and 21 Great -Grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service for Duane on Monday October 15, 2018 at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 W. Wellesley – 99205 at 11:00 AM.
