Lillian Epstein was born in New York City on February 7th, 1933, the daughter of Morris and Rachel Mahler. She grew up in NYC and graduated High School in Flemington NJ. In 1953 Lillian (Honey) married WWII Veteran Emmanuel (Manny) Epstein in New York NY. They raised 2 daughters, Audrey and Janice in Brooklyn and in Sayreville NJ. In 1990 they moved to the Timber Pines Community in Spring Hill FL.
Professionally Lillian did administrative office work and later volunteered. She played cribbage, mahjong, cards and was very good at pool. She also enjoyed playing the piano.
A widow since 2001 Lillian is survived by her daughter Janice Snodgrass and husband Joseph in Mesa AZ, brother Paul Mahler and his wife Els-Mari in Colts Neck NJ, nephew Erik Mahler in Port St Lucie FL, 5 grandchildren (Teddy, Jason, Jennifer, Michael and Samantha), and 8 great grandchildren. She lived a full life, and passed peacefully on October 6th, 2025.
A committal service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, located at 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513, United States. The service is scheduled for October 13, 2025, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
