Scot Glen Von Tanhausen, 48, of Lecanto, Florida passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019. He was born in Kingston, New York on December 1, 1970 to Janet Von Tanhausen and the late Edgar Von Tanhausen, Jr.
Scot was a beloved son, brother, and friend. He was an active member of Hope Community Bible Church in Spring Hill. With a gentle, kind spirit, Scot brought love and joy to so many people. He exemplified a truly pure and happy life. He was a long time resident of the Key Training Center. He is loved by so many and will be missed so much.
Scot is survived by his mother Janet, his brother Ed, and his sister Debbie McDonough and her husband Matt, as well as his nephew Calvin and niece Kadison. He is predeceased by his father Edgar “Von”, his grandmother Gertrude Joy, and his grandfather Oscar Holtz. Scot will also be forever remembered by extended family and friends who he loved dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Hope Community Bible Church, 13241 Spring Hill Dr., Spring Hill, FL 34609. Immediately following the service, family and friends will gather for a reception in Ackerman Hall at the church.
Family and friends will hold a Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 2 at 1:30 p.m. at the Key Training Center, Chet Cole Building, 5399 W. Gulf to Lake Hwy., Lecanto, FL 34461.
