Beverly Jean Morrow

Springfield, IL- Beverly Jean Morrow, 71, a lifelong resident of Springfield, passed away Sat. March 22, 2014 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born in Springfield, Feb. 21, 1943 the daughter of Wilbur and Lottie Stogdell Graham. She married David Ray Morrow in Virginia, IL March 25, 1960 and he preceded her in death March 7, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Robert Graham. Beverly retired in 2003 from St. John’s Hospital where she served as a phlebotomist for several years. Beverly bowled for several years. She enjoyed playing games with her friends. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She loved family gatherings and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (husband James( Renfro of Springfield, her 3 sons; David (wife Toni) Morrow of Pueblo, CO., Jason (wife Stacy) Morrow of Springfield, and Allen (wife Jamie) Morrow of Sherman, IL. She has 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 3 sisters; Bonnie Flynn and Tina (husband Billy) Beers both of Springfield, and Brenda Reed of Bemidji, MN. She has several nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements are under the direction of Busch and Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen where visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Tues. March 25, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wed. March 26, 2014 with Rev. Marty Nagel officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Those who wish may direct memorial contributions in her memory to St. John’s Hospice 800 E. Carpenter Springfield, IL 62702. I remember Bev from the bowling alley. She was one of the sweetest people I've ever met! Always very friendly and had a great smaile and wonderful sense of humor and bubbly personality. Love and prayers to the family. She will be in our hearts always!

I am so sorry to hear about Beverly. The news has traveled all the way to Fairbanks, Alaska where I am for another week. She was a good friend to me over many years, and a very special person to all who knew her.
