He was born May 5, 1961, in Macomb, IL, the son of Donald E. Icenogle and Elizabeth “Jane” (Schisler) Icenogle. He married Kimberly Mattes on June 27, 1987 in Jacksonville, IL and she survives.
Kevin was the former owner of Papa’s Midwest Kettle Corn. He previously had worked in management and sales. He was a member of Chatham Baptist Church and was a former member of the Springfield Aqua Sports Club.
Besides his wife Kim, he is survived by his children, Nici (husband John) Simon, Matt (wife Nicole) Icenogle, Brianna Icenogle, and Valerie Icenogle, all of Chatham; his mother Jane Icenogle of Chatham; his father Don (wife Pat) Icenogle of Putnam, IL; his grandchildren, Karley, Kayla, Madi, Amya, Hoyt, Coralee; his sister Tammy (husband Greg) Shelley of Colchester, IL; his brother David Icenogle of Fairbury, IL; step-sisters Jamee Read of Peoria, IL and Sharee (husband David) Graff of Davenport, IA; and his ex-wife Velta Phelps (mother of Nici and Matt) of Chatham, IL.
Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield, where visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10 am at the funeral home with Rev. Milton Bost officiating. Burial will follow at Chatham Cemetery, Chatham, IL.
Memorials may be made to either the American Cancer Society or to Chatham Baptist Church.
