Michael Anthony “Tony” Schoby, 55, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday January 16, 2021 at his residence. He was born on January 5, 1966 in Springfield to Lloyd A. Schoby Jr., and Dorothy Pickett.

Tony is survived by his mother Dorothy Schoby of Springfield, sister Heather (Steve) Hammann of Springfield, niece Alexis Taylor Hammann and nephew Hunter Stephen Hammann. He was preceded in death by his father.

Michael attended A Step Forward Inc. in Decatur and he competed in the Area 19 Special Olympics in both swimming and track and field. He enjoyed NASCAR and attending his niece and nephews softball and baseball games. Michael was a member of Boy Scout Troop 312 and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
