Virginia Matlach went to meet her God on February 19, 2020. She was 102 and had a full life as mother of 4 boys; Bill (wife Linda), Charles (wife Donna), John (wife Christy) and Robert (wife Judy) and grandmother and great-grandmother of too many to count. She was the ultimate Christian witness, Bringing up her boys to pray every night, teaching Sunday School for over 30 years, being a Cub Scout Den Mother and being a home-away-from-home mother to many children in the neighborhood. She always brightened the lives of everyone she met. She is now in a better place and is united with her savior Jesus Christ. Several years back, Virginia almost died and said she saw a bright light and a voice told her "Go back it isn't time yet." This time it was time. Up until a few weeks before her passing, Virginia lived at home and went to adult day care and loved to sing and recite nursery rhymes. She was truly a very special person who was loved by all who met her.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on March 19, 2020, at Fenton United Methodist Church, 800 Gravois Road, Fenton, MO. 63026 with a gathering in the cafeteria to follow.
