Frank was born in Athens Georgia to William Francis and Pearl Lucille Stamey.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mary Florine Stamey; son, Timothy William Stamey (Jane); grandsons, Edwin A Griffith (Katie), and Michael S. Griffith (Megan); brother, Roy L Stamey (Joyce); sisters, Virginia Anthony and Patricia Warner and many nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Linda Dale Griffith Nadon; brother, Charles W. Stamey; sister, Peggy J. Stamey; and his parents, William Francis and Pearl Lucille.
Frank loved his country and was proud to be in the Army. He was a Vietnam veteran. He met and worked with a lot of people he respected and loved that he would have never met if he had not joined the Army.
Frank loved his family and their welfare was foremost in his mind. He enjoyed outings with his grandsons and spending time with them.
Frank was a good bowler and had several 300 games. He was a big John Wayne fan and loved eagles and collected them.
Frank was a loving, honorable man and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
